Unity

On the last GDS 108 class we discussed a very important concept in Graphic Design: unity.
Since images play a very important role in our field of study, it seemed like a good idea to research for some pictures that could help to illustrate the subject...

Introduction

In my modest opinion, starts are the hardest and most critical part in any project. When it comes to a blog, it could not be any different.
Unfortunately, I’m not one of those persons that like to talk about themselves (at all), which makes it even harder for me to write this few lines. However, I don’t see any plausible alternative, so… here we go:
My name is Fábio Goulart Andrade, I am 19 years old and I come from a small city located at the extreme south of Brazil (what explains my bad English. Sorry about that).
Back in my country, I studied to become an Elementary School teacher, but my passion for technology was bigger, so I decided to start college in Analysis and Development of Systems.
Five months ago I was selected to a scholarship in the United States. Since then (and until May of the next year), I’m living with other 12 international students in a very old and strange place (Atrium Apartments), learning about several cultures (including yours) and, more than anything, finding out a completely different side of my life.
I don’t know many things about Graphic Design, except for the fact that I’m really curious about it.
I am a little bit perfectionist (and by that I mean a lot) in everything I do, but I like to consider myself open minded as well, so critics are always welcome in order to achieve good results.
From this course I expect to absorb fundamental principles of general design and also explore my creativity and capacity of visual expression.
Well… I guess this is pretty much everything there is to know about me. Hopefully, I’ll be more consistent on my next posts…
